Winchester M1 Garand serial number 2524xxx, manufactured December
1944. This M1 has a 1951 Springfield barrel with a bright bore. Other parts are
mostly Springfield, all are described below and shown in photos. No import
The gun has been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and
test fired. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and
greased where appropriate when reassembled.
This M1 is in excellent used condition. It has a new
walnut stock with a nice darker finish. New repro canvas sling and two M1
enbloc clips (no ammo) are included.
“D28291-2” on leg. Misc. assembly markings on several surfaces underneath. Excellent
condition, absolutely no pitting. Has been refinished. Lettering and serial
number are sharp; even the tiny “TRADEMARK” lettering is readable. Receiver
legs have rough machining marks, typical for Winchester.
“S-A-5-51” in op rod slot with proof mark “P” and punch mark. Also marked
“D35448 41 A147A” on top, with small stars and eagle stamp. The bore is bright
and shiny, rifling is sharp. No external pitting, good finish with some wear on
the exposed front section.

pitting just behind the gas piston.
