Springfield Armory M1 Garand. This is a Red River Army Depot rebuild dated 4-66. Serial number 746867 dates to July 1942. No import marks. This rifle is in excellent used condition. The gun does not seem to have been lubricated or used since the rebuild. No import marks. This rifle is in excellent used condition. Sling, two M1 clips (no ammo) and manual are included. A certificate of authenticity from the CMP is also included.

SPECS:
Receiver: Springfield Armory, marked “D 28291-17” on leg, also chemical etched “RRAD 4-66”.
Rear sight: T105 postwar type
Barrel: Springfield, marked “SA 6535448 8 65 MD44” in op rod slot with “P” and “M”. The bore is bright, crown excellent. It measures right at 1 ME and less than 2 TE on our (CMP) gauges. Chamber is in the white, so this was new at the time of the rebuild and has never been used.

Stock: Birch stock is arsenal replacement with “P” in square, “RRAD” on side Also rack number “21” on pistol grip. No cracks, fewer than average dings and gouges. Handguards are also birch, no cracks, same condition as stock.
Sling: used GI, obscured markings, probably “MRT” etc
Bench test of timing and op rod function is excellent. We will lubricate and test fire the rifle if the buyer wants this done.
