Springfield Armory M1 Garand, serial number 1570514, manufactured
April 1943. SA 10-54 barrel with bright bore and excellent gauge numbers. No
import marks.
This rifle is in very good used condition. Metal parts
have been refinished at some time. This is a mixed parts rifle, with stock
marked “MRM” (Mount Ranier Ordnance Depot). All parts are described below and
shown in pictures.
The rifle has been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and
test fired. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where
appropriate when reassembled. Sling and two M1 enbloc clips (no ammo) are included.
SPECS:
Receiver: marked D 28291 27 on leg, heat lot 029A<>,
no pitting, some finish wear.
Barrel: marked SA F6535448 10 54 A216A in op rod
slot, with small stars and eagle stamp. Also marked 7.61 on top. Our best
guess is that some foreign military had the rifle at one time and thought it
necessary to mark what they measured as the exact bore diameter. Bore, crown
and rifling are excellent. Chrome pads at gas port.
