Smith & Wesson Model K-22 Masterpiece serial number
K86547, made in 1950. This is one of the nicer pre-Model 17s we have come
across. It appears to have been used hardly at all, with a barely visible drag
line on the cylinder, and retains 99% percent blued finish. There is slight
wear at the muzzle side, probably from storage, a couple of small scratches on
the trigger guard, and a small spot of finish wear on the cylinder. Bore is
mirror bright. Grips are excellent with no chips or cracks.
The K-22 has a 6 inch pinned barrel, micrometer click rear
sight and partridge front sight, checkered hammer and serrated trigger, both
with beautiful case coloring. Cylinder holds six rounds of .22lr. Walnut
diamond grips with Smith & Wesson medallions are numbered to the gun.
No box or papers.
C & R eligible.
