Late WW2 Springfield Armory M1 Garand serial number 3850xxx, manufactured
June 1945. SA 5-45 barrel with bright bore and very good gauge numbers. Springfield
stock marked “S.A. N.F.R.”. No import marks.
This M1 is in excellent used condition. All parts are in great
working condition. This is a good collector piece, with one
minor drawback – the barrel, of the expected date range, has been reparkerized.
There was never any pitting on the exterior, so why it was refinished, we don’t
know. Receiver and other parts appear to be original finish. All are described
below and shown in pictures.
The rifle has been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and
test fired. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where
appropriate when reassembled.
Two M1 enbloc clips (no ammo) and sling are included.
