Springfield Armory M1 Garand, .30-06, with a pre-WW2 era receiver and parts. This M1 was originally sold through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) in 2020 as a Service Grade. It is in excellent used condition.
The receiver dates to 1940. The barrel, also Springfield, is from 1954. Other marked parts are a mix of WW2 era and postwar, they are detailed below and shown in photos. The stock is USGI with circle "P" on the pistol grip but no visible cartouche on the buttstock. The stock has painted stencil numbers "283". A used canvas sling is included, along with a manual, CMP certificate of authenticity and hang tag, and two M1 clips (no ammo).

Barrel: Springfield Armory, dated 8-54, Muzzle erosion is 1, throat erosion 2, bright shiny bore.

Op Rod: Springfield Armory, marked 6535382-SA, postwar production
Trigger Housing: Springfield Armory, marked D28290-5-SA, WW2 production
Stock: USGI walnut, circle "P" on pistol grip, no other visible cartouche. Painted numbers 283 on buttstock. Fair amount of dings and scratches, no cracks, very good condition.
Extras: Sling, two M1 clips (no ammo), manual, CMP certificate and hang tag.
