WW2 era US Model 1903, .30-06, made by Remington.  Serial number 3083290 manufactured in 1942. Barrel is Remington dated 4-42. Remington stock with crossed cannons and "FJA".

Overall a very nice example of a 1903. The gun was reparkerized at some point and probably went through an arsenal rebuild, but we see no rebuild markings. Metal parts are in excellent used condition, some light scratches, no pitting. The barrel has a nice bore and riflings. Barrel measures 1 at the muzzle and 1 1/2 at the throat. The straight walnut stock is is good condition, with a fair amount of dings and scratches, expected for a rifle of this age. We see no cracks or repairs. Marked parts are described below. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where appropriate when reassembled. The rifle has been test fired and functions perfectly.

Reproduction canvas sling is included.

SPECS:

Receiver: "US REMINGTON MODEL 1903" Serial number 3083290, nice parkerized finish, no pitting.

Barrel: Remington marked "RA 4-42" with flaming bomb and "P" underneath. ME=1, TE= 1 1/2

Bolt: Remington marked "R"

Rear Sight: Elevator, windage knob marked "R"

Stock: Remington, crossed cannons and "FJA",  7/16"circle with 1/4""P", various assembly marks. A fair amount of dings and scratches, no cracks, no repairs.
