Springfield Armory M1D Garand sniper with M84 scope. Serial
number 2779023 dates to April 1944.
Barrel is Springfield, dated June 1952. All parts are described below and shown
in pictures, no import marks. This M1D was originally sold through the Civilian
Marksmanship Program, CMP certificate is included.
This rifle is in excellent used condition and shoots
great. The previous owner provided test targets, see photos.
Leather cheekpad marked “MRT 3-59” is included, along with
a web sling, scope case, flash hider, sight and op rod covers and a cleaning

marked “D 28291 32” on leg, heat lot A13C<>. Excellent condition, no
pitting. Finish (not original) shows very little wear.
“S-A-6-52” in op rod slot, also marked “P” with punch mark, “A”, “T”, and “P”.
Bore is bright like new, rifling and crown excellent, chrome pads at gas port.
External finish is in excellent condition.

Scope: marked “TELESCOPE
M84 SERIAL NO. 10968”. Complete with rubber eyepiece and objective shield. No
internal debris or particles. Crosshair (post type) sharp and complete. No
dents, external finish very good, no pitting. Manufacturer Leupold &
Stevens, note no white border around serial number.

no cracks, same condition and color as stock
