A very nice example of a postwar M1 Garand. This is a Harrington
& Richardson M1 rifle, serial number 5616xxx. Barrel is HRA, dated May 1955
with a bright bore. No import marks.
This M1 rifle is in excellent used condition. The barrel
and receiver appear to have original finish, and are in nearly new condition. The
rifle has hardly ever been fired – note condition of the barrel’s gas port, op
rod piston, and gas cylinder lock screw. All marked metal parts are HRA, all
are described below and shown in photos.
The Garand has been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and
test fired. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where
appropriate when reassembled.
Sling and two M1 enbloc clips (no ammo) are included.
Plus: a free repro M1 Garand canvas carry case, marked US.
Receiver: marked 6528291 on leg, heat lot G. Marked
on top with serial number and U.S. RIFLE CAL. 30 M1 H. & R. ARMS CO..
Barrel: marked HRA 6535448 5-55 RS52, with proof
marks. Very likely original to the receiver. Bore, crown and rifling are excellent.
Chrome pads at gas port, chamber in the white.
