Beautiful example of a postwar M1 rifle. This is an HRA M1 Garand,serial number 570xxxx, manufactured about 1955. HRA 11-55 barrel with a bright bore. Very nice looking HRA stock. All marked parts on this M1 are HRA. No import marks. All parts are described below and shown in pictures.
The rifle has been disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where appropriate when reassembled.
Two M1 enbloc clips (no ammo) and sling are included. Rifle will ship in a hard foam lined case.
Receiver: marked "6528291" on leg. Excellent condition, absolutely no pitting, no scratches or gouges, a little finish wear at corners.
Barrel: marked "HRA 6353448 11-55 RS66" in op rod slot, with "P" and punch mark, "M", and small stars and eagle. Chrome pads at gas port. Bore is bright like new. Crown excellent, chamber in the white. External finish is in excellent condition, no pitting.

Safety: round top, marked "HRA"
Gas cylinder: wide sight platform, flat on top of rear ring. Gas cylinder group finish is excellent
Front sight: 0.72 wide, unmarked
Gas cylinder lock: postwar high hump type, unmarked
Gas cylinder lock screw: cross slot poppet valve type, marked "HRA"
Stock: walnut, clearly HRA from thickness at pistol grip and the "horseshoe". Circled "P" on pistol grip, 1/2 stars and eagle (DAS) on left side, both markings very sharp. No cracks, has dings from handling, none severe, very nice appearance.
Buttplate: round plunger type, VG condition with little finish wear
Stock ferrule: no hole
Handguards: walnut, minor handling marks
Sling: GI, MRT marked, date is hard to read, probably 1950s.
