Springfield Armory M1 Garand, serial number 5872xxx, manufactured
about 1955. SA 3-63 barrel with bright bore. No import marks. The rifle has
Springfield parts, although some are from WWII, all are described below and
shown in photos. Stock is new gray laminate.
The rifle has been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and
test fired. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where
appropriate when reassembled.
Two M1 enbloc clips and a new sling are included.
marked “F 6528291” on leg, heat lot T5. Has some pitting below wood, which will
not get worse since the receiver has been blasted and refinished. Op rod and
bolt tracks are perfect.
Barrel: marked “SA
F6535448 3 63 Y16” in op rod slot, with “P” “M”, and small stars and eagle
stamp. Bore is bright, very good crown and rifling. Chamber is in the white.
Chrome pads at gas port.
