There are lots of pistol caliber carbines on the market today. Most resemble AR-15s. But we prefer the old school Marlin Camp 9. Made in the 1980s and 1990s, these semi-autos had wood stocks, 16 1/2 inch blued barrels, were lightweight (about 6 lbs) and easy to handle. They had detachable mags and also accepted Smith & Wesson Model 59 handgun mags. They are reliable shooters. We have had a few and they usually sell fairly quickly.
