WW II Springfield Armory M1 Garand. Serial number 2988538,
dates to July 1944. SA 3-44 barrel with good bore. No import marks. Parts are
of WWII and postwar manufacture, all in excellent condition, see details below
and in photos.
The rifle has been disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and
test fired. Parts were clean for photos, coated with oil and greased where
appropriate when reassembled.
Accessories included: M1 canvas sling (repro) and two M1
enbloc clips (no ammo).
marked “D 28291 32 on leg, heat lot YO4A<>. Marked on top with serial
number and “U.S. RIFLE CAL. 30 M1 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY”.
“2-S-A-3-44” with “P” and punch mark in op rod slot, also marked on top “D6535448-28-Y-63-D”,
with small crossed cannons stamp. Bore is bright like new, no chrome pads at
